Dear fellow Newcastle United supporter, if you’re reading this it’s because we need your help with a project we’re putting together for Rafa. We thought we’d do something positive but we can’t do it without your contribution. This will take a few minutes of your time and you can do it from home.

We’re contacting a select few NUFC fans throughout the world to ask for your help on a project that we’re working on. As you know, our manager Rafa Benitez could soon take charge of his last game for the club. With his contract ending next month and our inept owner showing little effort in persuading him to stay, we want to send Rafa some messages of our support and appreciation.

We’re putting together a collection of video messages to Rafa Benitez in the style of the Bob Dylan classic show HERE or for those of us too young to remember that, the film Love Actually had a great scene using the same idea HERE.

We’d love you to send us a short video message to Rafa ASAP (by THIS MONDAY 6th May please). We’ll edit it together to make something really special. We want you to be as creative and emotive as possible. Here’s a couple of examples of what we’re after:

IMPORTANT – Video Requirements

Print off or write by hand a short message to Rafa using standard letter-sized A4 paper or the larger A3 if you prefer. Make the wording large and bold – felt tips or marker pens will work best so it can be read on screen easily. The message can be simply asking him to stay, thanking him for his time here so far, remembering anything that was special to you during the last 3 years or anything you like really.

Feel free to get your kids involved with their own messages or drawings for example.

Please keep the video as short as possible. Ideally less than 20 seconds but we can have longer if there’s more you want to say.

Please DO NOT include anything negative about the owner or ‘board members’ as we want this to be a positive piece. Although we’re all tempted to make reference to Ashley and Charnley etc this is all about Rafa Benitez and what he means to us fans.

Please shoot your video using your phone in horizontal/landscape format.

Use daylight when possible.

Be as close in as possible so we can read your message.

Once you’ve filmed it, please send it to info@londonmagpiegroup.co.uk via WeTransfer which is a quick and easy way to send your files. Please DO NOT try to email the video as it will be too big to do so.
